Monday Morning In My Pajamas

I declare that Monday mornings would be called Monday Moaning! Oh, what difference does it make? They sound the same.
I am feeling so lazy today. I was suppose to wake up earlier, drink water, have my quiet time, put on my workout gear and go out there for a run, but I'm still on bed, typing this.
This is the story of my life right now.
And the annoying thing is, I am taking selfie in bed.
Girl? What's wrong with you?
Technology can really make us go crazy. That's the weird aspect of technology.
I don't even know the time my roommate left.
Hmmm.
So, madam, please get up, get dressed, chase catch your dreams and never give up!
Get up, you have a lot to do.
24 hours of today comes only once
And it is almost gone. Though, it is almost 8am and the day is still young, it's almost gone, because 8 hours is finished.
Let's do this.
Happy New Week!
When are you starting your end of semester examination? (Finals)

A Day In The Life

Sorry I haven't been updating. I am so busy trying to adjust to life, and make my schedule more free. How can you if you have so many reading assignments to do?

But my favourite days are Wednesdays and Fridays. I get to rest well and have some quality me-time. You know I don't joke with my me time .

I have been reading a lot of  'A Day In The Life ' blog posts and watching the videos and shows, and I have been inspired to write my own.

A day in the life as at Tuesday 06/10/2015.

04:40am : First alarm goes off. I was so deep in my sleep, I heard it in my dreams. The funny thing is I thought it was part of the dream, so I did not immediately wake up. I normally make a decision here,
whether to obey this alarm or snooze dismiss and wait for the second one. I choose the latter.

05:07am: Second alarm goes off. I gracefully obeyed it and TRIED HARD to have my morning devotional.

05:38am: I checked out my planner to see what I had for the day. I added more tasks.

05:40am: Workout. Pop Sugar's 20- minute power plank workout. To tell you the truth, I could do less than 10 minutes. After I went to lie on my bed

06:03am: .......you know, those personal hygiene stuff; brushing my teeth, bathing etc.

07:00am: Playing with my phone. Typical

07:20 something am: Preparing breakfast

07:40 something am: Breakfast time.

08:00am: Checking out technology news. I read about Twitter considering the idea of getting rid of 140-character limit.

08:15am: Working on my E! Online Ghana post.

08:42am: Getting dressed for my 9:30am class at North Campus.

09:30am: Trends in Education and School Management in Ghana. He spoke of a quiz. My heart skipped 4 beats. I was NOT ready. Fortunately, it was postponed.

11:30am: Closed and went back home with my friends, then prepare supper, freshen up and get ready for the next class. I had salad for lunch, which did not satisfy me.

13:48: Class had already started (1:30pm). I was now leaving home but I met a lady with adorable twins. I couldn't help but smile and ponder it in my heart.

14:06: Class had started. Thank goodness, the T.A did not see me enter late. Research Design and Data Analysis

15:58: Class is dismissed. Yay! I can have an early supper because I was famished!

16:30: Catching up on emails, messages and notifications in order to stay on top of things. Plus supper, of course.

17:30: Freshen up to get ready for church.

19:00-20:00: At church. (Lesson: God's only begotten son in the flesh). After church, a friend told me that I had reduced in size. Hahahaha.

21:00: Catching up on social media, working on an E! Online Ghana post, study for the next day's quiz. Writing plans for the next day in my planner.

21:38: Skin routine, then jump to bed for some leisure reading.

22:40: *clap*clap* Lights out!
It was a good night.

But this has been the most uninspired day of the month, I guess.

Do you have to "A Day In The Life" post, I would love to read it.

School Survival Guide

Hey there!

What's up?

This post I'm writing today is from experience, How To Survive School. I am not a professional at this, I am still learning and still not a complete survivor but I know some of the tips I'll share here would help you in one way or the other.

I hope.

So, let's get started.

Workout in the morning

I am not a complete health nut, but I do know how to stay fit. Working out in the morning is a great idea to start the day. It keeps you active during the day and makes you get more time for other matters of the day.

Have a daily planner

With school, social life and sometimes work crowding our brains, having a reminder of the things you need to do for a day or the week would keep you on track.

Less procrastination

Whenever you are given a project, or assignments, we should begin them as soon as we are given. I am a law breaker at this one, but we ate still learning.

Multi tasking
One of the things my mother taught me in this life is multi tasking. For instance, while cooking a meal that requires time, you can tidy up your room, or fold your clothes while listening to a recorded lecture etc

Do not go out every night
Some students have the habit of chilling every night. This is wrong. You did not come to school to chill out every second. All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy but there is more sleep after death. You can take time to have fun, but limit it.

Have your class schedule on your phone

It's annoying when you do not know where you have a particular class. Having your class schedule on your phone is a life saver since you always carry your phone wherever you go.

Join a club

Joining a club helps you grow your social circle and also helps you in networking. No clubs in your school? Start one with proper authorization and permission.

Pack your dirty laundry the night before
If you know, you'll be doing some washing the next day, gather your laundry and washing essentials, the night before. You can even soak your dirty white clothes in clean soapy water. Wake up early and do your washing.

Get to know your library.

The library is the only quiet place you can go and hide. I began to use the library when I was in my second year. In my first year, I did not see the essence of the library since modern ICT books are not available. But I get to use the internet and hide from people for a while, especially in the early weeks of a new semester. During examination, I do not use the place since students would crowd in the library.

Hydrate
Water is really important in our lives. It helps in smooth circulation of blood and makes you feel refreshed and healthy and active.

Put off your data connection.

Our phones are a major distraction. To have some quiet time or study time, completely put off your data connection.

Take breaks
Breaks are necessary aspect when it comes to the life of a student. After studying for an hour or more, go take a walk, have some me time, clean something. Study breaks are essential and they leave us feeling refreshed.

And last but not the least.

Surround yourself with positive people
If you know you are in an unhealthy friendship or relationship with people who always discourage you, leave at once. Surround yourself with positive people who would keep on inspiring and motivating you.

As I said before, these things I wrote is from experience. I am still in school and still learning lessons. What might work for me might not work for you, but for the purpose of inspiring people with my lifestyle as a young single adult and a student, I wrote these to enrich your life for the better.
