MDB Lifestyle Report: No Makeup Revolution

Hello world.

So, there is this new segment on the blog, known as MDB Lifestyle Report. In this segment, we shall talk about lifestyle topics, but it will still be under the Lifestyle Tag.

Today’s post is all about beauty. We will be talking about the No Makeup Revolution. If you don’t know what I am talking about, well, nowadays, no makeup is the new makeup.

I know you might be wondering why no makeup is the new makeup. In this era, makeup is getting all the attention and there are new and fun ways of wearing makeup (like colourful mascara). So where from the idea of no makeup is the new makeup? Well, you may never know. A revolution within another revolution.

Instagram alone has over 14 million posts on #nomakeup, which means, it is going on well, and being accepted. You might want to practice and join the team no makeup.

The question is, how do we prep our skin for the no makeup look?

The answer is simple. Just how you prep your skin to wear makeup, it is the same way of prepping your skin to not wearing makeup.

Here are three ways we can prep our skin for the no makeup look.

Exfoliate weekly

Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells using chemical or mechanical means. You can use a loofah or body brush to exfoliate your skin.  It has an amazing effect on your skin.

Hydrate frequently.

Drink enough water. You probably might have heard it too many times, but you know what? Water is the answer to a glowing skin. If you want your skin to be forever grateful to you, drink. More. Water. If you have difficulty of drinking water, download an app to give you constant reminders to drinking enough water frequently.

Moisturize

If you are able to follow the rule of drinking water, there is something you must do for the surface of your skin. Moisturize. Moisturizing helps your skin to glow outwardly. You do not want your skin to look dry and dull, right? It makes your face look and feel younger, and keeps your skin hydrated.

Dark

Dark makeup is one of my favourite things. I don’t really know why, but I like the feel and the look of it. Black, brown, dark purple etc. Those are my favourite kind of makeup colours. Not pink, red, orange, yellow etc. Even though I have some pink lipsticks, and I’m about to buy red ones.

Anyway, so I did this makeup somewhere in June and it was a rainy month. But I liked to look dark. Some people said it’s not right, but I don’t care. I’m an off and on person when it comes to makeup. Sometimes, I really need it. Other days too, I don’t feel like holding the brush. But I love lipsticks. If I don’t do anything at all, at least, lipsticks/lip balm/lip gloss makes my lips rock.

Dark is like a kind of mystery. A mystery that cannot be describe. Some people associate dark to misery and sorrow and those dark things.

But I see dark to be imperfection, the moment you need white, or light. You need to be dark so that white stains can make you beautiful.

Dark describes my imperfections, and I love dark.

Even though these colours are not really dark, they are closer to dark, and are appropriate for those June rainy days.

Maybe, I should write this post next year in June.

My Beauty Must Haves

Hi there beautiful people. How is your day? Mine is not bad at all. We are in the Back to School mood, paying fees, moving in, contacting roommates, shopping and everything.

As a lady like me, when we are making a list of things to purchase, we add our feminine products, even if it's just one. I am not a pro in the beauty section of a lady's life, but I know that some time in life, I need to show my feminine side. I need a lip balm and mascara for class and a lipstick and fragrance for a night out, to be the queen of the night, right? Right!

"Cause I'm the Queen of the night. Queen of the night! Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeeaahh!"

God rest their souls; Whitney Houston and her daughter. My dad played that song for me on my 5th birthday. I bet he never knew the lyrics. Sadly.

Oh the glory days.

My beauty must haves.

You Look SPECtacular

Hey there
I hope your day is off to a wonderful start, and you are enjoying your weekend already. I'm relaxing and enjoying the music in dancing to. The dance is not a good one though.

Today, I want to be talking about makeup for glasses wearers. I am a glasses wearer. (Confession: I don't like wearing glasses, but what can I do about it?) But it makes me look smart and intelligent! Amazingly, I wear glasses and love technology and Science too. I'm a nerd right? Nooo. Hahahaha. I'm planning of making a TV series about three friends ( two guys and a girl) who are computer wizards and witch, what do you think?

I'll name it, Revolution! Or The Revolution.Which one sounds scarier?

Enough of my imagination, let's get started already.

1. Wear your hair in a ponytail. That is, if your hair is long.

2. Clean /wash your face to remove impurities

3. Define your brows by straightening them

4. Apply your face powder

5. Apply an eye primer

6. Apply your eye shadow. Sticking to neutral is the perfect suggestion

7. Apply eyeliner. Thick frame ( thick eyeliner)

8. Don't be scared to use mascara. Apply 2-3 coats of mascara. Don't forget the lower eye lashes

9. For lipstick, since you used neutral eye shadow, you can use a bold lip colour. Remember, this is optional.
Have fun!!! And happy weekend!
