The New Year Tag

It is the last day of 2016 and my last blog post of 2016.

I can’t believe I just wrote that.

Today, we have some questions here, and it is questions about the New Year. I will try and answer some of them. In the blogosphere, we call it the New Year Tag.

Anyway, let’s get started.

Pick 3 words to describe 2016.
Achievable, Great, Thief

What were the best book you read in 2016?
No Sweetness Here and other stories by Ama Ata Aidoo
Hidden Rainbow by Christmas Carol Kauffman
Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
Skipping Christmas by John Grisham

What was your biggest change from January to December?

Cutting my hair

What was the biggest thing you learnt?
Life is short. Live in the moment

What was one New Year resolution that you accomplished?
I have stop the habit of making New Year resolutions

Something you’re looking forward to this coming year.

Something concerning education…..watch out for it.

Style Inspiration Board: New Year, New Style + Tales of Nazir the Movie Premiere

Whoosh! What a looong blog title. I didn’t know how to put those words in about five/ six/ seven words. Well, it doesn’t matter!

Merry Christmas, Healthy New Year. I guess the year is going on well for you, and we thank goodness for that.

It’s a new year, and probably, some of you are changing your wardrobe. I was surfing through the internet for style inspiration for black ladies like us, and this is what I found.
Behold, style inspiration to start the New Year with.

Which one is your favourite?

Annnd, last Saturday, my boss gave me a Tales Of Nazir the Movie Premiere ticket, to watch and write a review for the site I am working for. That explains the long blog title. LOL. It is coming soon on the website.

The name is Nazir Marietta and I’m out! PEACE!

Friends Are More Important Than Money: The 2016 Manifesto Of The MDAM Blog

Good morning, guys. Hey! It’s the first Monday of the year, 2016. I guess you are all going back to work or school or somewhere else.
Anyway, how is your New Year? Are you feeling sweet sixteen like me? I mean, it’s 2016, guys! This is the year you should feel sweet sixteen. If your 16 year old life was a mess, this is the time for you to correct mistakes and live your good life, you know.
Some of you have made New Year resolutions and, I would like to say, all the best with that. I have stop making New Year resolutions, but rather I make goals, or should I say, bucket lists.
Last year before it ended, I wrote a manifesto to live a good life, or a better one, so I had ideas from my journals and my little red bag.

Yeah, that little red bag.
So, I present to you, the 2016 Manifesto of the MDAM Blog, with the theme, Friends Are More Important Than Money.

Walk more.
Embrace the beach
Capture the memories
Write BIG

Smile more
Trust in God
Believe in yourself
Save money
Get outdoors more
Dream BIG
Read, read and read
Be fit for life

Make a new friend
Listen more, speak less

Be grateful for everything, even trials

Happy 2015!!!!

Happy New Year, sweethearts!

I'm not asleep yet. It's almost 4, yeah I know. There's so much fun around, I just can't sleep. Anyway, there's this festival going on in Winneba. I'm not sure whether I'll attend, but let's see.

The last but one Sunday before Christmas, a brother of mine at church, gave a talk and his title was Spiritual Target. This year, I want to focus on my spiritual life more. Even though I have set 101 goals to be fulfilled in 1001 days, I have 3 main goals to fulfill before 2015 ends.

  • To find inner peace
  •  To develop the qualities of a good woman
  •  To be strong and healthy

Anyway, Happy New Year and let's toss to the new year!

 Stay sweet!
