My Long Vac Essentials

Hello world!

A few days ago, I wrote about my long vacation bucket list and as I go about my duties, I get more ideas and inspiration to add to my bucket list, like religious ones.

I sat down yesterday and thought of a story. Then my mind went back to my long vac. I love long vacations. It's a perfect break time for me, though, you might miss some of your friends and the only way to see them is when school resumes  because they live very far away. Oh well. That's how life is. Life is"some way" Abi you bab?

Anyway, these are my essentials for the long vacation

  • A laptop
  • A camera and camcorder
  • Flip flops
  • Sugarcane ( That's right)
  • Grilled corn
  • A notebook and a pen (In case of a light bulb ;) )
  • Beach essentials
  • Mint (when allergies hit)
  • A mantra (thinking of one or any suggestions?)
  • Good novels ( oh yeah)
  • Playlist (oldies)
  • Chilled sobolo
  • Beautiful nail polished
  • A fantastic pair of heels
  • Hat
  • Pinterest (for inspiration)
  • Ice cream

  • Sunglasses (fantastic pair)
  • Umbrella (mostly rains during the long vac)

What's on your long vac/summer essentials?

School Year Is Over

School closes down this week for the long vacation. I'm so happy that I can forget about school at least for a while. This semester has been full of"complex algorithms", complex doubts and more complex discouragements. But it doesn't matter. It's all part of school life. So, what are y'all people, doing for the long vacation? It's amazing, how we are all eager to vacate, and then we are bored and frustrated to death. I remember, I started my long vac plans in March because I was desperate for a break, but thank God for Easter. The Easter Break helped me to unwind.

This is my Bucket list for the long vacation, which is approximately 90 days or so.

  •  Clean my room
  •  Go for camping or a summit
  •  Shopping
  •  Have some quality me -time
  • Learn new recipes
  • Go for workshops and seminars
  • Internship /attachment (still not sure)
  • Make videos about education
  • Purchase magazines
  • Read novels
  • Have movie night with siblings
  • Continue writing the unfinished novel
  • Enter into a writing contest
  • Learn how to use photoshop (if I get my laptop)
  • Feature on Citi FM again
  • Attempt drawing (Seriously. Ikr)
  • Make an old cools playlist. What's wrong with jamming to old tunes
  • Try a DIY project
  • Make zine covers
  • Try a remote internship
  • Go a whole day without my entertainer  (my phone)
  • Make tie dye t shirts
  • Try writing 10 rhyming poetry
So, what's on your bucket list when school's out?

SCHOOL'S OUT! SCREAM AND SHOUT!!!!!!!!!

SCHOOL’S OUT! SCREAM AND SHOUT!!!!!!!!
It is 9 days to my long vacation and I am eagerly waiting the day I’ll go home from school, knowing that I will not be expected to enter my lecture hall for at least two whole months.
And I have chosen a theme for this beautiful period of mine: OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW, because I’m letting go of some things in life and this would be the perfect break for that.
For this long vac, my goals for this period wouldn't be much.
·         Eat, Nourish, Exercise
Those who know me personally would see that I have lost weight and become pale. So I just want to stay on a healthy diet, go for check-up as soon as my health insurance is ready which my new best friend is working on it for me. And I need to exercise to maintain my health status or improve upon it.

·         Go on the job hunt
I am definitely giving it a try. As I said at the beginning of the year, I wanted to live as someone who is now taking care of herself, as an independent woman, so I’m on the job hunt for this vacation. If you know of any job vacancy that you think I’ll fit for the job, link me. *wink*

·         Complete my novel, WINGS
I am currently working on a novel entitled WINGS and I can’t wait for it to be published or made into a movie. I started it like two years ago and abandoned it, but have the vibe to continue writing.

·         Read novels
Remember in my post, getting ready for 2014, I told you about my 20-30 books for the long vacation challenge. I’m ready to start.

·         Pamper myself
Well, yeah I have a very long break. I shouldn't waste it at all. I need to chillax and enjoy life, make peace with those who have hurt you, make new friends, go for events, spend time with family and old friends and loved ones, try new hairstyles, hang out with music mixers, get a manicure and pedicure, exhibit myself in my literary world, write more, and shop, shop, shop. *wink*
·         Learn a new recipe and a new skill
During this time, I would like to acquire a new skill, maybe speaking in front of a crowd (eesh), or giving a presentation to a group of people and learn new recipes so that I can try them in school when I get back.

·         Study……bleh
Yeah, I know right. Running away from books and you are going home to study???? Hmmm, I’ll try. Wish me luck there.

·         Visit Winneba
Did I tell you I have a new family in Winneba? Yeah I would go and say hi and see how they are doing. I’ll visit my family and friends and those who love me.

·         Make videos
I have decided to make videos for my blog and YouTube channel, so watch out.
