I’ve been selfish

I’ve been immature

But you still love me

For who I am

I did not need a fairy Godmother

To make me pretty and elegant

You loved me in my tattered clothes

I did not need a true love first kiss

To wake me up to reality

Your eyes said it all

I sometimes make you sad

But you still forgive me

Because you love me

For who I am

I have a childish mind

And silly ideas

But you still love me

For who I am

I’m a failure at romance

And have less romantic ideas

I disagree with you

On several occasions

Ending up in useless and aimless arguments

But you still love me

For who I am

And I love you too

For who you are

       You’re kind

       Understanding

       You’re lovingly cute

       And caring
